I’ve wanted a gorgeous vintage bar cart for as long as I can remember but given the fact that I’ve lived in small city apartments for the past eight years, I just haven’t had the opportunity … or the space. However, with this new place in Boston, I happen to have ample amounts of shelving (I’m under the impression that this old Back Bay brownstone didn’t go through much conversion when it was turned into apartments and my studio is actually the former library) which have doubled as a vanity, jewelry/intimates storage, and now, a cozy little space for a bar.
I don’t drink much at home (rather, I don’t entertain very often) and when I do it’s typically a bottle of wine picked up for immediate consumption. However, I do like having Pimm’s and soda water (and a random bottle of whiskey) on hand in the case of spontaneous guests. Also, candy swizzle sticks for fun. Or perhaps, just for me.

I picked up these gorgeous gold-rimmed Collins glasses at a Connecticut Salvation Army for $1 a piece. I was awfully sad that I only found three but I still think they make their point as a trio.
